Dream Weaver
Posted by admin on Thursday Sep 22, 2011 Under ReviewsGambian-born Textile Design awardee Jennifer Abubakar Ngyan announced that she and husband Harris Ngyan will be renewing their wedding vows. A private gathering has been organised to celebrate the occasion. The renewal will be witnessed by their three sons.
Jennifer first met Harris when she worked on the architecture of one of his hotels. She did most of the designing, including the reception area. Pure talent void of corruption translated into tasteful furnishings that differentiate Jennifer Abubakar from other designers.
Jennifer’s valuable contribution to the textile industry illustrates how she is worthy of another National Award For Innovation And Design. She is pushing for local production of high-end fabrics. It is projected to provide at least 500 jobs for workers in the community. This initiative, coupled with her remarkable talent in design, makes her a well-rounded artist. It would take a lot to corrupt such an angel.
The project is set to begin as soon as the construction of the factory is finished in October.
